Author Guidelines

The journal welcomes original scientific contributions in the field of higher education history. All submissions are subject to peer review and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Language

The journal accepts submissions in English (UK), French, or Italian.

Author Guidelines

  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Articles should meet academic and ethical research standards.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy of the information presented, the proper use of sources, and compliance with academic ethics.
  • The journal accepts contributions within its thematic scope.
  • All submissions are reviewed by the editorial board and will be subject to the peer-review process. The editorial board reserves the right to request revisions or to reject submissions that do not comply with the journal’s academic standards or formatting requirements.
  • The manuscript should be attached in editable format (.doc or .docx).

Submission e-mail

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically, as the journal is published exclusively online. Submissions must be sent by e-mail to the official address of the journal: usj.reviste@ubbcluj.ro Authors are requested to include “Manuscript Submission” in the subject line, followed by their surname and a shortened title of the article.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting, please verify that your manuscript meets all formatting requirements. It should:

  • include an abstract and 5-7 keywords;
  • follow the Chicago Manual of Style for all citations;
  • contain a complete bibliography;
  • include acknowledgments, if applicable;
  • confirm that all images are high-resolution (300 dpi) and that you have obtained permissions to use copyrighted materials.

Acknowledgements

Authors may include an acknowledgments section at the end of the manuscript (before the bibliography) to recognise funding sources, research assistance, or the individuals who contributed to the work.
